Hos oss blir du utbildad undersköterska. Efter examen från Vård- och omsorgsprogrammet har du kompetens att direkt kunna arbeta som undersköterska inom hälso- och sjukvård, vård- och omsorg och inom olika verksamheter för personer med funktionsnedsättningar. Majoriteten av våra elever får arbete direkt efter gymnasiet.

Du får en praktisk utbildning med 22 veckors arbetsplatsförlagt lärande (APL) inom vård och omsorg. Du fördjupar dig inom hälso- och sjukvård, vård- och omsorg eller funktionshinderområdet och din utbildning leder fram till ett nationellt certifikat inom Vård- och omsorgscollege.

Innan du går ut och arbetar kommer du att träna och utvecklas inom din inriktning där du får kunskaper om hur du bemöter, kommunicerar med och vårdar människor på ett yrkesmässigt sätt samt aktuella kunskaper inom den tekniska utveckling som sker.

Du har minst 15 veckors praktik (APL) i din utbildning på en arbetsplats under dina tre år på programmet. APL ger dig erfarenhet och bra kontakter som du kan dra nytta av när du söker arbete.

Jag valde akutsjukvård och fick göra min APL på avd. 63, hjärtavdelning. Där fick jag sommarjobb efter studenten och sen på timmar. Idag är jag månadsanställd på samma avdelning och trivs hur bra som helst.

I årskurs 2 har du 10 veckors  arbetsplatsförlagt lärande som är uppdelat på två perioder. Du har gjort ett individuellt val samt så läser du fler nya ämnen som t ex specialpedagogik och psykiatri.

I åk 3 ska du göra ett gymnasiearbete inom ditt valda yrkesområde. Där får du visa att du har de kunskaper som behövs för att börja jobba med det du utbildat dig till.

I årskurs 3 har du 7 veckor arbetsplatsförlagt lärande inom den fördjupning du valt.

På Alléskolan får du till exempel möjlighet att läsa in behörigheten till sjuksköterskeprogrammet på Universitetet genom valbara kurser under din studiegång. Det finns även andra sätt att studera vidare, bland annat på Yrkeshögskola.
